Our team makes great efforts to care for and treat your smile. We strive each visit to make our patients comfortable and reassured throughout their orthodontic treatment. We are there for every step of the process to help our patients get the smile for which they’ve always hoped!
Dr. Mary Beth Hearn
Mary Beth and her husband, John, who also grew up in Hendersonville, have two children Isabella and Owen. They attend the First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville where Mary Beth enjoys teaching Sunday School. Mary Beth also enjoys speaking to area elementary school and churches about the importance of good oral hygiene in creating and maintaining a healthy smile. They enjoy traveling, snow skiing and spending time with family and friends.
Education
Mary Beth grew up in Hendersonville and graduated from Hendersonville High School. She inherited her love of dentistry early in life from watching her father, Dr. John Martin, who is also a dentist in nearby Goodlettsville, TN. Her sister, Dr. Catie Wall, also practices dentistry with their father.
Mary Beth attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she received her undergraduate B.S. degree in Biology in 1999. She continued on to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis for dental and specialty training and received her doctor of dental surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 2003 and her masters of science (M.S.) degree in orthodontics in 2006.
After graduation, she returned home to Hendersonville in 2006. After practicing orthodontics for almost ten years with two other orthodontic practices in the Hendersonville, Goodlettsville, and Gallatin areas, Dr. Mary Beth is excited to have her own practice in her hometown of Hendersonville. She loves her community so much and is dedicated to helping her patients love their smile!
Mary Beth also understands and believes that education is a lifelong process. She strives to keep her education current by attending numerous continuing education courses each year.
Professional Organizations
Mary Beth is member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Southern Association of Orthodontists (SAO) and Tennessee Association of Orthodontists (TAO), as and is currently serving as the President of the TAO. She is also a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Tennessee Dental Association (TDA) and the Nashville Dental Association (NDA). She is also involved with and actively supports the Interfaith Dental Clinic in Nashville.
